Disciplines and Ideas in the Applied Social Sciences (Padayon Series) is designed to advance students competencies in interacting and relating with other individuals, groups, and communities through the appreciation of the interconnectivity of the different applied social science disciplines, namely: counseling, social work, and communication, and its applications in critical development areas and in specific life situations.

Compliant to the K to 12 curriculum, this book promotes learning based on the use of learner-centered approach in which students are encouraged to share, acknowledge, and challenge learning through the use of inquiry-based teaching-learning strategy and outcome-based activities which support higher level learning.
