PPHI Launches 550 Scholarships for Teachers
In celebration of its 55th year, Phoenix Publishing House, Inc. (PPHI) is giving 550 scholarship grants to Filipino educators.
The grants cover financial assistance in pursuing Master’s degree programs and in taking the review for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
“This concretizes further the Alagang Phoenix culture,” said Ma. Erlinda Sibal, President.
“It solidifies the Company’s role as a collaborative partner of schools in the teachers’ professional development.”
Aside from publishing innovative and quality instructional materials, the Company has pioneered in faculty development programs through intensive and relevant seminar-workshops and leadership institutes, among others.
“Through the years, we have passionately supported the Filipino teachers in their professional development, further enabling them to take leadership roles to improve the quality of education in the country,” added Sibal.
The scholarship program was formally launched during the annual assembly of the Superintendents Commission (SupCom) of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) on August 27, 2012 at the Diamond Hotel, Manila.
