Teachers Earn CPD Units through Phoenix Programs
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recognizes Phoenix Publishing House Educational Foundation as an official Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider for professional teachers. As a pioneer in innovative teaching and effective learning, Phoenix strives to provide learning programs that help teachers maintain and develop professional competence, creativity, and innovation in teaching. More importantly, Phoenix supports the teachers in their professional career through offerings that will earn the CPD credit units they need to renew their licenses.
- Managing 21st Century Classrooms on November 17–18, 2017 (Program Accreditation No. 2017-063-141: 7 credit units);
- Managing 21st Century Classrooms on November 24 –25, 2017 (Program Accreditation No. 2017-063-136: 8 credit units);
- Teach Smarter: Talk Less, Listen More on December 1–2, 2017 to (Program Accreditation No. 2017-063-142: 11 credits units); and
- PLC – Professional Learning Community on November 24–25, 2017 (Program Accreditation No. 2017-063-143: 6.5 credits units).
The CPD Law
CPD Act of 2016, also known as Republic Act No . 10912, mandates the continuing professional development of all regulated professionals. It requires professional teachers to earn 45 credit units for their PRC ID card license renewal. These credit units can be acquired through Professional track, Academic Track, Self-Directed Training and other activities recommended by the CPD Council. Professional track includes trainings offered by accredited CPD providers, such as Phoenix.
