Write and the child will not follow you. Draw and the child will!
Writing and drawing should not be done separately but simultaneously. Children draw for fun and, in the process, learn how to write. This is why Writing through Art teaches writing, a seemingly difficult task for young children, through art, a thing
they enjoy doing. Through various art activities in the worktext, they will soon learn to write without them even noticing it.
Writing through Art hits two birds with one stone: It lets children have fun drawing while teaching them how to write at the same time.
Dr. Ernesto Y. Sibal was one of the few Filipinos in academic publishing who can irrefutably lay claim to these three titles—Patriot, Pioneer and Innovator. A staunch patriot, Dr. Sibal fiercely advocated the vision of designating Filipino-authored books for young Filipino learners. This vision was enabled by the establishment of Alemar’s Bookstore in 1958, and through the foresight and drive of Alegria Rodriguez, who shared in the vision of her husband, she helped galvanized then fledgling Alemar's Bookstore as the place to go for textbooks and school needs, propelling it to become the first established bookstore chains in the country.
